About Dennis

Dennis K Park, whose work can be seen in selected galleries throughout the United States, is a native of Chester County Pa. Upon graduation from Unionville High School, Dennis pursued an education in fine arts and graphic design at the York Academy of Fine Arts and with private instruction from Dennis Minch, a fellow Chester County artist. Dennis also worked as a Graphic Designer early in his career.

Park strives to capture the flavor and heritage of our current surroundings and the days gone by within each of his paintings. His goal is to instill a strong feeling into each of his paintings and thus drawing the viewer’s attention back time and time again.

One of his most popular pieces is "The Last Look" a whimsical study of the carousel at Lenape Park which is now closed as a public amusement facility. Park was a frequent visitor as a child, Park said of this piece" I just decided to paint it because it brought back happy memories as a child visiting the park"

One of Park's personal goals is to keep his work available to a wide range of clients. “I am happy to find a market with collectors," Park said. "But I always have prints and smaller pieces available also so many different types of people can enjoy my work".

Dennis's work resides in many local galleries in and around the greater Philadelphia area and among notable private collections that include such celebrities as Dom Deluise, Burt Reynolds, and Ann Bancroft. Locally, Chester County Hospital and several area banks display his work.

Denny’s success in the arts has brought him many opportunities, one of which includes a commissioned painting for the 1985 class of Unionville High School. In 1987, he designed the cover for the Chadds Ford Gallery miniature show. In 1988, Denny was commissioned by the 7th North American Mushroom Conference committee to do a painting for their celebrated New Orleans conference. He painted Birmingham Octagonal Schoolhouse for the Kennett Area Senior Center, which also included a print. Denny was commissioned by the Lan-Chester Christian School to do a painting of Caln Hexagonal Schoolhouse. Limited edition signed and numbered prints are available of this painting. The money raised went to benefit the school. In 1995, he was the featured artist for the ARC of Chester County. Park was commissioned to do the “Little Bits of West Chester” in 1999, Three street scenes of West Chester, the first 200 years. Dennis was also honored to be the featured artist at the Unionville High School Art Gala.
